Membership & Discipleship
A Church Centered on the Word of God
At Calvary Reformation Church, membership is not a formality. It is a covenant commitment to walk together under the authority of Scripture as we worship, grow, and serve as disciples of Jesus Christ.
We believe the local church is a visible expression of Christ’s body. Membership reflects a shared confession of faith, shared accountability, and shared participation in the life and mission of the church.
Becoming a Member
Membership at CRC is not complicated, but it is meaningful. We invite believers to join through a clear and pastoral process.
We receive members upon a credible profession of faith in Jesus Christ and believer’s baptism by immersion. If baptism is needed, we are glad to provide it.
Members in good standing from other churches may transfer their membership after meeting with leadership.
Those seeking membership meet with a pastor or elder, typically Bishop McLeod. This is a warm, conversational meeting where we get to know one another, answer questions, and review our church covenant and leadership commitments.
To begin this process, prospective members complete a Membership Registration form online.
New members are then publicly introduced to the congregation during a Sunday service and receive a commemorative membership plaque. We encourage members to display this plaque in their homes as a visible reminder of their covenant commitment to Christ and His church.
Within six months of joining, members complete our New Member Orientation course. While not a condition of membership, this class provides deeper teaching on our doctrine, vision, government, distinctives, and heart for the lost. Each new member is also assigned a deacon to provide support, care, and encouragement.
Making Disciples at CRC
Membership is not the finish line. It is the beginning of active discipleship.
At CRC, discipleship follows a clear, repeatable pattern rooted in the Great Commission. We call it the Discipleship Triangle:

1
Worship as a Family and Invite Others
Gather weekly for corporate worship.
Participate in prayer, the Lord’s Table, singing, and expository preaching.
Engage in evangelism and invite others into the life of the church.
2
Be Active in CARE Groups and Family Worship
Commit to a CARE Group, our small group ministry for accountability and spiritual growth.
Practice catechesis and family worship in the home.
Pursue maturity in doctrine and obedience.
3
Serve in Ministry and at Home
Choose a ministry and serve faithfully.
Use your gifts to build up the body of Christ.
Lead and disciple within your household.
Discipleship at CRC is not a program. It's a way of life that shapes how we worship, grow, and serve together.
Church Covenant and Accountability
Members covenant to uphold our church covenant, pursue holiness, support the ministry of the church, and walk in love toward one another.
Membership includes both privilege and responsibility. We believe biblical accountability is an expression of love and protection within the body of Christ. In rare cases where a member persists in unrepentant sin, we follow Jesus’ instruction in Matthew 18 by pursuing restoration through loving correction and, if necessary, formal church discipline. Our aim is always repentance, reconciliation, and spiritual restoration, never punishment.
